Dearest Love
Do let me know what they have done with my luggage, it was not in Euston Square when I left this Morning at 8, Sharpe’s cart had not been there, Hindle is with me, the lodgings are comfortable and the old Lady looks particularly respectable –
Love to children. Yours affectionately

Your note surprised me for the luggage went the same day you did by “Sharpe” cart at 1/2 past 12. I lost no time but went directly into town and was fortunate enough to meet the cart and from him I learnt that your luggage had been left at the Spread Eagle and himself saw it go off and at the office they paid him 4/6 which was his charge from this to London. the young man said he felt confident it reached Birmingham before you. he desired me to say it was no fault of his as it was not directed to Euston Square neither did he know it had to go so far
