[B(enjamin) Butterworth to his sister Elizabeth Waters]
Addressed to Mrs Waters, Mulgrave Place, Woolwich
Rochdale Decr. 14 1827
Dear Sister,
I am sorry to inform you that during the last week my Aunt’s Health has undergone a material change. Her mind his [is] entirely lost to her & it is with difficulty that two people can keep on her Cloathes or prevent her from undressing. She has no complaint on her therefore I think it is a necessary consequence of old age still her appetite has gone on a great deal worse – She eats little & scarecely knows any one about her. I dont think her in the least danger at present; still her mind is gone entirely. I hope yourself & Mr Waters are both well. I am prevented at present from writing more, but always believe me
your affectionate
Brother B. Butterworth
