My Dear Sister
It is with pleasure I once more write to you but Believe me it is not for want of affection that I have delayed it so long. You want to know all about your little Daughter, she is not very well at present, my Aunt thinks she has got the hooping Cough, she has got two teeth, she is not weaned yet but Nurse intends to wean her as soon as she gets a little better, as she has such bad nights at present. My Sister Jane still continues very ill, she sits by me now and wishes me to give her love to you and Mr Waters. Betsey Clarkson and Mary Ann are over at present, they are well, and desire there love to you Both. My Aunt is very sorry that the things did not come safe, she is much obliged to you for your kind letter but has it not in her power to write back she thank God enjoys good health. I should like to hear when you are confined [childbirth] I hope you will get well over. Mr Waters is well I hope give my love to him, Benjamin and Joseph desire to be remembered to you and all our Family the same. you must excuse my writing a long letter as my Eyes are rather sore at present, write to me my dear Sister as soon as you are well enough our kind Father sends his Love.
I remain
Your Affectionate Sister
