Dear John
I am going to try and write to you today it seems hard for me to write now I have gotten so shaky We are all well at present I think the Gripp has left me for this winter we are all getting along about as usual Joyce running about and getting into all the mischief she can get into Muriel is not walking yet but she can get over the floor pretty fast. I think by your letter the sins [signs] are favourable Hope you may suceed all right and get a good one, it must be quite a lot easier to get your ffgrain [sic] to market now have you sold your wheat yet. Our neighbour Mr Redmond is going West about the middle of April but he is not taking his family now. I think he intends coming back to make his hay. Mrs Frank Guild died last week Mr Sam Wilson is sick he has a cancer in his lip and it is working into his mouth. Mr David Dickie is very sick with heart trouble they don’t expect he will ever be well again
Times are pretty dull about here now not much done at lumbering this winter George got some hauled but not so many as he wanted to. we had verry little snow our storms were all most rain this winter. I had a letter from Thom this week they think it is a fine country out where they are We had a visit from Mazie Grant when she was on here she is just the same as ever. I heard that Millie Laird is going in consumption could only just walk around the room when I heard last and Jessie Laird got her hand burned in the mangle (she was working in the Laundry) last fall and she has to go to the Dr twice a day to have it dressed yet. I dont know much about the news about but I think things are about the same as usual and as my hand is getting tired I will have to stop with love from mother write gain soon
