Dear John

I will try and write a few lines to you today but it is pretty hard work to get time to write since the baby arrived as she takes a lot of time. did you know that Aggie has a boy baby of which she is verry proud Well John you are to late in sending word to Lizzy to go and keep house for you as she has gone back to the states she is in Boston at St Margarets Hospital now and I think Millie will be there soon as she does not like the place she is in I tell you we had a merry time when they were all home. George wrote to Ed to come home this winter. I am very much plased [pleased] to know that you are coming home to see us you will see quite a change in the last ten years. I think if you have any sock legs worth footing you might bring them with you and I will get some yarn and foot them for you, the Old Esquire was a little better the last we heard from there Charley and Seymour have gone back home Maggie is there yet. Nora Deichman was married yesterday to a man named Henry I dont know him Willie Dickie has sold his place in Glenmore and bought a place in the Midd. Settlement just this side of the Manse there has been a lot of buying and selling about here this summer but we will tell you about them when you come. we are having a mild spell of weather now likely you will be having winter weather now. I dont think I can write much now but hope to see you soon and talk enought then

I will close with love from Mother
