Lacombe Sept 11th 1904

Dear Brother

I received your letter a week ago containing the sad news of Annabelle’s death and would have written sooner but had no chance to mail a letter. You have my heartfelt sympathy in your time of trouble. Morris’ wife has been on the sick list for the last few days but I expect she will be around again in a few days. We have been pretty busy since we got started haying but the weather has been showery for the last two weeks and has kept us back some with the stacking We have about ninety loads stacked and about fifty more to stack

There is a good crop of hay here this year. We only had about twelve acres of grain and it was not much good so we cut it with the mower and will feed it on the straw Most of the grain around here is going to be a good crop. They don’t grow much wheat here yet. Mostly oats and barley. The stock is looking well this summer but cattle are down in price this summer. We have had good luck with stock since we came here. only lost one heifer out of all our stock. Well I guess I must close and leave some of the news for Morris to write. Give my kindest regards to the Wickham family and tell them I sympathize with them in their loss so no more at present from your bro Tom.
