[Elizabeth Waters, née Butterworth, to her son, Benjamin]
My dear Benjamin
I give to my daughter Jane the £200 pounds at present in the Timber Company. She has devoted her best days in attending to her Parents comforts and to their household duties, I feel sure that all of you will think that she deserves that little remembrance, and I hope my children will be ever kind & try to make each other happy –
