Southsea, Portsea
Rochdale Octr. 3d. 1817
Dear Daughter
I am very sorry to inform you & Mr Waters of the Death of your Daughter Jane.
She died yesterday Morning about 6 OClock. She was only poorly 7 Days, but not considered dangerously so till the Day preceeding her Death.
I intend burying her on Sunday morning beside my Daughter Jane. She was the most engaging little Child that ever was – & was improving seemingly daily before her Sickness. I had her Portrait took about 3 weeks ago, intending it for you, which I will send you the first opportunity.
Mr Littlemore died suddenly on Sunday Evening after preaching twice in his Chapel My Aunt & Family send their best respects to you & Mr Waters & I remain
