My dear Capt. Waters

I at all times feel deeply interested in whatever concerns your welfare & happiness, your letter was therefore very interesting to me. It must certainly be a severe trial to be again separated from Mrs Waters, & your Children, but in other respects, your prospects must be very desirable, particularly on board the Barham. Do write me again when you know your destination etc.etc. You do not mention at what period you wish me to remit Twenty pounds to Mrs Waters, the years interest due on the Money lent on Mortgage is in August. — I think Mrs Waters’s relations reside in or near Macclesfield, if so, I shall feel much obliged if you can obtain any information respecting the present value of Poll deeds (for 50£) on the Congleton & Buxton road, also on the Congleton & Macclesfield road. As I hold a poll deed on such road, & which I wish to sell, therefore any information on the subject will be desirable. My eldest Daughter has had a very long & severe illness for many months past, & is still in a very precarious state. John has lately removed from the North of devon, & resides near Teignmouth with his Wife & five Children. William is in Oxford. with my best wishes for your health & happiness, believe me
