My Dear Mr Waters,
I regret extremely that I could not conveniently comply with your request before, but I received the enclosed Twenty pounds only yesterday from Reynolds, in part of the interest, the receipt of which please to acknowledge by return of post. It gave me great pleasure to hear that you are again on Service & consequently full pay. Do let me know if you are soon to be employed in active Service, what & where. I assure you I feel much interested in whatever concerns your happiness, & welfare. My family are stationary & continue the same as when I last wrote to you. My Sister is now removed from Hastings to Cranbrooke, in Kent. My Family beg to join in kind regards, & best wishes, believe me to remain
Dear Mr Waters
Yours most truly
John Sillifant.
