Dear John
I am going to try and you a few lines to let you know that I received the Photo all right and was verry much pleased to get it she is a nice looking girl and Will G says she is as good as she looks I can see her Father’s looks in her. I dont remember ever seeing her mother she looks as if you would not get tired sitting opposite her three times a day if you be so fortunate as to get her. Well John I suppose this is a buisy time with you now I know it is a buisy time here at present it is a kind of broken season for making hay but George is about half done now how are your crops looking this year I hope the frost does not harm them this year who have you got to help you for Harvest. Dave’s Aubry is talking of going out but I dont know if he will get away or not I think if he goes he is going to Will A’s, Maggie is home now she talks of taking her mother back to stay with her this coming winter. the Old man goes out in the hay field some and works at the hay and he has passed his 90 birthday you would see in the news of the death of uncle Jonny Taylor he will be missed verry much, they are all well at Will Guild’s Ellen is at Midd Stewiack and the other two girls are going to teach next term. Ida will only have Lou to help her then Dave Dickey does not improve any not likely he will ever be any better The rest of the folk about are all well. we hear good accounts of Ed he gets steady work his family are here yet I think they are going to stay here till the hot weather is past. we hear often from all the girls but Millie I dont know why she dont write, we are all well at present hope you are the same
from loving Mother
