Dear Brother John
I am very sorry to hear of your loss, but perhaps it is all for the best you know it is Gods Will be Done, and not ours. It is very hard to say that, there is a hymn which says Some day we will understand. We cannot see the way clearly. She will be free from suffering which would propably have lasted as long as she lived. Please extend my sympathies to Mrs. Wickham in the loss of a daughter. Trust in the Lord and be thou doing good and he will sustain the hour of trouble. Mr. Henry Morris seems very near the pearly gates. They dont expect him to last long He is in his 84th year. We dont know how soon we may be called away but let us live so that when we are called, that our Master can say “Well done thou good and faithful servant. let us make use of the talents given us, Mother and Father and Millie have gone to church this morning, it is just a lovely day out. Some of us will go this afternoon. I expect now to go back to the States some time during the last of September. the time will soon slip away but I am feeling much better than I did when I came home. Jean Guild has got the school at Ecum Secum, Guysboro County – she started yesterday and would have to stay in Sheet Harbor over Sunday–Libbie is going to try for a school after Christmas. She wont be old enough to get her C license till November Have you had any word from Morris or Tom lately. Well I must draw to a close with love from Sister Nettie
