Dear Janet

I am suffering with headache. I want 3 papers of needles Nos. 3 – 4 & 5, and some thread. I think you can do as you like about going to D.C. Frasers. Perhaps you had better drop the Virgil. Lots of Barney’s River folks are to be in N. Glasgow this week. Papa has to have his pants shortened at the last moment and Annie is doing it. I want 6 No 40 – 3 No 30 – 3 No 50. White cotton reels. and 3 each of these Nos. of black thread or cotton – 12 – 24 – 40 – 50. Annie is hunting up your handkerchiefs. Send along your shirt waist and I will try and fix the sleeves. I got a letter from Grandmama yesterday.
